
Scott Graner (Sifu) is currently an honor student at Johnson State College in Vermont , majoring in health sciences, physical education, and business. Scott has studied the martial arts for fifteen years and is a certified instructor in: Shaolin Kempo Karate, Wushu Kung Fu, and Tai Chi for Arthritis. In 2006, he created and developed the Mount Mansfield Martial Arts Club and has teaching locations at the Stowe Recreation Department and The Swimming Hole in Stowe.
Scott studies with: Grand Master Hu Jianqiang, two time grand champion of China, Chinese movie star, and fight choreographer; Master Jay Van Schelt, director of the Complementary Health Care Institute in Connecticut; and Master Freddie LaPan, former world karate champion. He has also studied in China with members of China's National Wushu Kung Fu Team.
Scott has competed at the state and national levels for many years. In 2002 and 2005, he represented the United States at the International Zhejiang Wushu Kung Fu Competition in China , winning gold and silver medals both years.
Scott believes the most important aspect of the martial arts is sharing his knowledge and helping others reach their potential through mind, body and spirit, while developing respect, self-control, and self-discipline.
